RMB Webs Philosophy
There are four tenets of the RMB Webs design philosophy.
You may notice that each one ties into the next:
- Ease
- Your website is the online bridge between you and your customers. As easy as it should be for them to use, it should also be easy for you. Ease of use for the owner means a more dynamic, relevant, and powerful site, which leads to increased customer confidence in you, and higher probability for repeat visits. You aren't a web designer, an RMB Webs website works for you, so you are free to do what you do best.
- Functionality
- What does your website do for you? If you have one already, is it just your 'sign on the building' site? An RMB site can be anything you want it to be. Do you want to sell your products online? Do you need an easy way to keep track of your various projects? RMB sites have functionality approaching the level of a desktop application, but with slashed development time, and increased portability.
- Elegance
- Elegance in a web site means the marriage of simplicity and aesthetics. You won't find gaudy, busy, or Flash sites here. What you will find are clean, simple, professional layouts. You will find your eyes tend to gravitate to exactly what you are looking for. You will find menus that make sense. RMB sites rely on portable, fast, and industry standard methods to achieve the desired look and feel, not tons of images that take forever to download, proprietary media, or any other 'crutch' methods used by lesser designers.
- Performance
- Small, simple, but highly functional sites load faster no matter what your connection speed (this page loads in under 3 seconds on a 56K modem). With an estimated 55% of home internet users still on dialup, these things are still important to the success of your site. On top of that, RMB sites are hosted exclusively on fast servers connected to redundant main internet lines for uncompromising speed and performance, so even broadband users won't be waiting. Customers do not put up with slow service when the competitor is across town, so they certainly won't stick around when your competitor is a mouse click away.
